Take a Hike or Experience IKE!

I just don’t get it.

It’s beyond me why on earth anyone would be warned to leave town or “face certain death” and then attempt to hunker down behind a few pieces of ply-wood recklessly thrown together.

Certain. Death.

Every year America (among other nations) experiences hurricane after hurricane. Some people learn lessons, and then there are those who seem immune to knowledge. I think there might be another word for that, but I’m not entirely sure.

What are they trying to prove?

I saw a family on the news from Galveston, walking around the streets kicking around random bits of debris. So they survived, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disgusted to see parents taking such strong chances with their children and promoting the ridiculous idea that they are somehow invincible when it comes to nature.

Can you imagine?

Let’s be honest here. We’re nothing. Humans are just a few bones and a thin layer of skin. We’re a pebble, no, a grain of sand compared to the power and fury that is mother nature.

She’s glorious, but don’t cross her. Mother nature can be nurturing, but she can get pretty abusive once in awhile too.

Stupid. There’s no other word for it. These adults that think they can defy a hurricane have brains which are just floating around in stupidity inside their stupid little skulls.

And that’s putting it nicely…..
